Canback Dangel has had the privilege to run projects all over the world. Since our founding in Boston in 2004, we have been engaged by Fortune 500 companies and an NGO to assess specific opportunities on the ground in 45 countries: |

In addition, we have addressed issues in more than 40 other countries through outside-in analysis. To make sure we incorporate on-the-ground local country perspectives and not only a global viewpoint, we have built local offices in key emerging countries: Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Mexico, and Russia. |

|
In Brazil, our activities range from finding market opportunities for consumer goods to due diligence for acquisitions. Examples of work in Brazil:
Our work in Brazil is always done in tight collaboration with our Boston office. |

Our Chinese activities are organized in Canback Dangel Liu under the leadership of Xingxing Liu in Beijing. Dr Liu has a long and distinguished career as a professor and consultant in China and the United States. He has been a professor at Beijing University and the Cadre College of Central Government and a consultant at Monitor Company. 10 years ago, he founded Beijing Wayland Consulting Company, out of which Canback Dangel Liu emanates.
In China, Canback Dangel often face issues related to regional prioritization. Out of 1,300 million people, around 30 million live a middle class or better life in urban areas (ABC+ class), and another 150 million are close to this standard of living (CD+ class). This creates a huge opportunity, but one that cannot be addressed with a national strategy. Instead, it is necessary to develop separate strategies for the Bohai (Beijing), Yangtze River Delta (Shanghai), Pearl River Delta (Guangzhou) super-regions, and occasionally for the Sichuan (Chengdu/Chongqing) inland region. Within these regions, there are again major differences depending on each city’s stage of development. |

Canback Dangel’s India office fills a dual purpose:
To kick off each of our projects, Aniket Pargaonkar and his team in Pune build a comprehensive “knowledge map” that catalogues all of the publicly available information on the issue under consideration. Aniket and his team also conduct similar research directly for our clients on a quick-turnaround basis. A typical example is a recent two week effort exploring the distribution of oral hygiene products in 6 countries. Finally, our India office assists with the development and maintenance of some of our proprietary databases, such as the COAT database of cellular operators’ performance around the world. |

Mexico is an all-important market for many American companies. Its size and proximity, combined with the growing Hispanic community in the US makes success in Mexico imperative. We work together with US companies to create effective marketing programs that resonate with consumers in Mexico . Further, we serve several Mexican companies locally. |
