The Analytics Factory |
Over the years--and as part of our consulting projects--we have worked hard on cleaning, harmonizing and merging large and disparate datasets, and then analyzing them. This is time-consuming and expensive and we have often wondered if a lower cost and more efficient process for doing this exists. In 2007, we started working with our Mexican colleagues to build an outsourced analytics capability and have by now built a local expertise that can be sold directly to consulting clients and other customers. We call this the Analytics Factory. The business proposition is to serve as an ongoing outsourced analytics capability when customers cannot fully automate the analysis effort. Data may be too dirty, it may require continuous merging with other data sources. Further, the statistical analysis may be hard to standardize. By May 2013, the Analytics Factory has worked on:
